Carrying on the Concept…
Just as I promised, here is another post to update on just what I have been up to and all the things in my life that keep me moving and busy.As I have said before, I am a Mass Comm/Studio Art double major at the College of Charleston, and also a highly active member of the Visual Arts Club. In addition to volunteering my expertise to Arcimedia and SuperHero Marketing, I also work at a local restaurant called Moe’s Southwest Grill on the corner of King and Calhoun in downtown Charleston. Finally, if that wasn’t enough, I am also lead creative designer for musician Corey Webb and his giant concert coming up in December.
First, concerning my Studio Art experience so far at the College of Charleston, it has been nothing short of amazing. I have a painting that is on display inside the Simon’s Center, which is the college’s art building. It is hanging up in the student run gallery and is a part of the College of Charleston’s first ever all student curated show, which I also took part in hanging. I also had a painting in the BLUME/BODY art show that took place on October 22nd at the Pantheon, which featured art from such Charleston well-knowns as Nathan Durfee, Phillip Hyman and Matt Foreman.
Finally, Corey Webb’s concert is going to be a gigantic event that no one will want to miss.
