    Great post Mary.

Lots of great tips shared and common sense spoken.

This is the bit that I think most small businesses really need to be clear about – “Do not fully dive into the waters of social media if you are not prepared with goals and strategy”. 100% agree. They wouldn't dive into other forms of communication so why Social Media? Maybe the fun element makes it hard to resist?

Anyway, enjoyed that read and look forward to future blog posts.

Hello- Great stuff here. I especially liked the idea of allocating resources. This is a nice resource tool. Thanks for the info.

In 2010, lots of small businesses, hearing all the buzz about Twitter and Facebook, will want to dive in. They will approach it from a tactical mindset, like most all their offline marketing and advertising, and their efforts will fail.

Planning and strategy is crucial for success, along with monitoring and measuring what works and doesn't work to keep tweaking the process.
